Band profiles.... Neil Halstead - Vocals, Rythum Guitar 
Neil Halstead is the main creative influence behind Mojave 3. He provides vocals and rythum guitar. He is also the main songwriter in the band.
Neil was born on 07 October 1970, and was raised in Reading. He now currently lives in Cornwall, and occasionally works in a local bar.
He is also heavily involved with US film company Black Monkey Suit. They released the film 'I am the elephant and you are the mouse', in which Mojave 3 provided the musical score.
Neil recently returned from the US where he stayed on, after Mojave 3 had finished their US/Canadian tour. He completed several solo shows, and is now working on his debut solo album which is due for release on 4AD in the summer of 2001. Rachel Goswell - Bass, Backing vocals |
Rachel was born the 16th of May 1971, and plays the bass and provides backing vocals in the band.
Rachel was one of the founder members of Slowdive with Neil and Ian, and was again one of the founder '3' members of Mojave 3. Rachel married Christopher Andrews in 1997, of Cuba and Chapterhouse fame, who also has occasionally worked with Mojave 3.
Currently, Rachel is demoing material for a solo album with Mark Van Hoen. She also works part-time in a children's nursery, and is a keen gardener! Ian McCutcheon - Drums and Percussion 
Ian McCutcheon is the drummer and percussionist for the band. He was one of the original members of Slowdive, and was also a founder member of Mojave 3.
Ian also showed his songwriting side on Excuses for Travellers, he wrote the excellent 'Got My Sunshine'.
